There's so much to love about this dress from the empire sash and layered tulle to the sequined, heart shaped bodice. All of those special touches make this dress ideal for any formal occasion.
This dress is so elegantly constructed and far exceeds the $99 price tag. The bodice is full of gold-colored sequins and the heart-shaped neckline are striking. I was worried the bodice wouldn't stay up but I keep fashion tape on hand and didn't even need to use it with this form fitting bodice. The silken, wide empire sash is flattering and gives the appearance of a longer waistline and a flatter tummy. And the layered tulle appears full and flouncy but it's tulle so it's light and airy. I found myself twirling around and around and fluffing the tulle just because.
The elongated bow confused me a bit. I kept trying to fasten the bow horizontally, when it actually fastens vertically. After I finally fastened the bow I noticed how it conceals the zipper. Just another attention to detail which makes this a Fashionista's Fab Find.

Zaycon Foods Sales Event Coming to a City Near You #USFG
Posted by Unknown at 3:57 PM Labels: food, savings, usfg 0 commentsHow does Zaycon Foods manage to provide such high quality super fresh meat and produce to its customers at such low prices? The answer is strength in numbers. And not our numbers, yours!
Zaycon Foods can sell its products at bulk rate prices to individual consumers and families because our unique sales event business model brings lots of people together, adding all their purchasing power into a combined bulk food purchase. And when you buy as part of a group that’s committing to such a large purchase, the power is in the hands of the purchaser! It’s the ultimate group buy in terms of both price and consumer empowerment. You can pre-select exactly what you want to order from a given Zaycon sales event – sometimes you may want to stock up on our amazing meaty back ribs and sometimes it might be all about the Zaycon bacon – and then, on the day of the sales event, you and a whole big bunch of your neighbors will find yourselves in a nearby parking lot watching as an entire tractor trailer’s worth of high quality natural food is unloaded into all of your cars! You will be amazed at how quickly one of our refrigerated trucks goes from being filled with natural, fresh chicken or hundreds of gallons of grade A non-homogenized milk to being empty and back on its way to the farm!

A Zaycon Foods truck sales event often lasts less time than you would spend on a trip to the grocery store, yet you will leave with a whole lot more food than you’d get at the market, and for much better prices, too!
When you use the Zaycon Foods sales event as your preferred place to purchase meats, milk, and any of our other fine products, you get advantages even beyond the bulk pricing that comes with our special sales model. You also have the peace of mind of knowing exactly what you’re going to get! A trip to the grocery store can involve wasted time wandering around looking for various foods spread out across the store; at a Zaycon Foods parking lot meat truck delivery (or milk or berries or fish delivery, too!) you have pre-ordered your foods, so all you have to do is show up and wait for our friendly staffers and volunteers to load up your car.
Also, unlike in the grocery store, the prices you will pay for a Zaycon Foods product are locked in on our website, so you will know how much you are going to spend before you have committed to a purchase.
At a supermarket, you might pay one price for chicken on one day, and then a higher price on another day. With Zaycon, you decide that you want to order a case of our fresh boneless skinless chicken breasts, you check the price and then you commit to it, knowing that from that moment on, we are committed to getting you your fresh, natural food!

Hasbro Game Night BEJEWELED Frenzy Game Review
Posted by Unknown at 7:49 PM Labels: family, game, hasbro, kids, toys 0 commentsMonopoly. Scrabble. Pictionary. Who remembers playing these games when you were back in the day? I remember playing these game on game night at my house when I was a kid and now that I'm a mom, I'm carrying on the family game night tradition with my family and we're STILL playing many of the games I grew up with. We've added a few games to our family game nights but this is the first time we've added a game which got it's start online.

Have you ever played Bejeweled? You know the online game where you try to match gems in a row causing the row to collapse. My mom loves playing Bejeweled online so when I told her Hasbro was adding a Bejeweled board game to its lineup, she was already making plans for our next family game night.
BEJEWELED FRENZY
Age: 8+; Players: 2-4
Approximate Retail Price: $14.99
It’s a sparkly flurry of a card game as kids race to match gems and build the largest stack of cards in Hasbro’s BEJEWELED Frenzy game. Kids will love competing with their friends to collapse their stack, collect Boost Gems and score the most points to win! The game comes with a link to redeem four Rare Gems to be used in the Bejeweled Blitz online game. Mobile device not included. To access the digital features, you must be 13 years or older and have a valid Facebook account. Additional terms and conditions apply to digital features offer.
Our Thoughts: The game is fairly easy to play: Match 3 gems just like in the online version, collapse matches and collect gems. If you've got little ones in your home, be careful as little ones will be attracted to the oversize gems and the sparkly cards. The game is for ages 8+ but the Littlest One and the Little Old Lady (both 2 1/2 years old) both wanted to join the game and had to be coaxed to play their sparkly cards much to the chagrin of the older kids who were playing rather competitively. The game is based on the accumulation of points players own by stacking and collapsing gem patterns.
EDUCATION ALERT: BEJEWELED Frenzy can be used as a learning tool. Yes, the mom in me really loved playing BEJEWEL Frenzy with my kids because it reinforced patterns and many elementary and middle school math classes teach pattern recognition. I know, everything doesn't have to be a learning tool but if the kids are having fun AND learning, that IS a win-win.
The BEJEWELED player in me loves this because it brings to life one of my favorite games and I can play with my family and friends. No more solo games at my computer or on my cell phone or tablet.

Looking for an easy DIY project to glam up your garden? Check out Miracle-Gro's The Gro Project for some fun garden projects. Don't let your lack of a green thumb hinder your creativity. Check out Miracle-Gro online for tons of gardening tips for novices like moi to professionals as well. Miracle-Gro offers some great products like LiquaFeed All Purpose Plant Food Advance Starter Kit and Shake’n Feed All Purpose Plant Food. Both are easy to use and packed with nutrients specially formulated for plants.
I'm always saying I don't have much of a green thumb but I have a plant affectionately nicknamed "Grandma" that is nearly 10 years old. Yes, 10 years old. The plant is a peace lily that was gifted to me shortly after my grandmother passed and after the plant outgrew its original planter, I decided to transplant it to a larger one. I almost lost the plant but lucked upon a package of Miracle-Gro underneath our kitchen sink. It was just the boost my plant needed and it wasn't long before healthy green leaves returned.

Biff and Becka’s Stupendous Vacation: A Booksneeze Book for Children Review
Posted by Unknown at 9:46 PM Labels: babies, books, booksneeze, family, kids 0 commentsBook Description
Biff’s anticipated family vacation takes an unexpected turn. How will he deal with bitter disappointment? Is his summer ruined? Will he be humiliated by his friends? The author paints a picture of a godly home to give encouragement and guidance to parents who struggle and kids who hurt. Biff and Becka’s Stupendous Vacation helps your child know how to deal with disappointment. It also helps children relate to family and friends with honesty and respect. Our Thoughts: Cute book. The discussion guide at the end of the book was a nice way to facilitate conversation and get our kids talking about faith, family and appropriate behavior. We spent a lot of time discussing Chapter 8 as it dealt with the topic of sibling relationships. After reading and sharing this chapter, I noticed my kids, if only briefly, a bit more conscious of how each other felt.
Discussion guides are uncommon in children's books but including a discussion guide in this book really helped apply the concepts throughout to our daily life. Biff and Becka’s Stupendous Vacation is ideal for school age children although younger children may enjoy having the book read to them.
Buy It: Visit Westbow Press, Amazon or your local bookstore to purchase your copy of Biff and Becka's Stupendous Vacation.
Disclosure: Many thanks to Booksneeze for the opportunity to review Biff and Becka's Stupendous Vacation. I received a complimentary download of this book in exchange for this review. Twisted Sista Hair + Scalp Fix Review
Posted by Unknown at 7:12 PM Labels: beauty, Tomoson, twisted sista 0 commentsI've been a natural hair diva for nearly 2 years now. No perms. No relaxers. No permanent colors. It is a challenge for me because I am so new at this whole "natural thang". The last few months have been full of trial and error with various products recommended by fellow bloggers and some of the natural hair divas in my life. It isn't often I find offers for blogger reviews for natural hair care products so I jumped at the offer to review twisted sista natural hair care products.
I received a twisted sista Hair + Scalp Fix Strengthen and Repair Kit and samples of twisted sista Curl Activator and Blow Drying Creme.
Blow Drying Creme
Perfect for blow dry straightening but definitely not a "creme". That said, I love, love, love this product and will definitely add it to my styling regimen. Sometimes when I blow dry my hair it feels dry and loses moisture but this "creme" really did a great job keeping my hair straight which is a task when you go from straight to curly as often as I do.
Oh, check out my before and after pics below:

Chick-fil-A Adds New #FreshMade Premium Salads and Wraps to their Menu
Posted by Unknown at 4:08 PM Labels: chick-fil-a, food, mom it foward 0 commentsThanks to Mom It Forward, I had the opportunity to gather a group of my blogging buddies to try Chick-fil-A ’s new salads. Unfortunately, Mother Nature threw a wrench in our Girls Night Out plans with her gusty winds, flashes of lightning, bursts of thunder and threats of tornadoes. Since most of my divas were unable to attend as potential bad weather loomed, I recruited Jay, the youngest of Los Tres Amigos. He reluctantly accepted, well it was more of a bribe of Chick-fil-A nuggets. What can I say, the kid loves their chicken nuggets. I drove to our local Chick-fil-A figuring it’d probably end up just being he and I. However, when I pulled into the parking lot, I recognized the car in front of me, there were a couple of my divas, Ash and E.
We were a few minutes early for our scheduled 5:30 dinner but were greeted with a hearty “Welcome to Chick-fil-A ” when we entered the restaurant. The staff graciously summoned Dale, the manager, who welcomed us and offered to take us on a behind the scenes tour of the restaurant. We were excited as neither of us had ever been behind the front counter. E, however, stayed behind and chatted with Dale’s marketing rep, Mickey, while Ash, J and I embarked on an amazing journey which could be summed up in one word – FRESH.
From the milk wash they prepare each day to coat those delicious hand cut chicken filets to the hand cut chunks of fruit, and freshly chopped greens for the salad. FRESH.
We watched as one of the employees graciously dipped chicken filets into the milk wash and gently coat each filet with the special Chick-fil-A batter. FRESH.
Ever had Chick-fil-A lemonade?
It’s one of my favorite drinks. I was expecting to see batches of lemonade concentrate, but I saw a young lady slicing LEMONS in half so she could juice them. Slicing lemons in half by hand. Then she juiced them using this large juicer. After juicing she added a scoop of sugar and stirred. FRESH.
To truly appreciate this you'd have to see her in action and be in the kitchen amidst the aroma of freshly cut lemons. OMG!
Dale’s pantry reminded me of my own. It was full of products from companies like Sunkist, Heinz, Nabisco, … FRESH.
Focus. Focus. We weren’t there for their tasty grilled chicken filets or cookies or the Dreamcone, or even for a glass of lemonade, we had a job to do. My friends and I were there to sample the new salads and wraps but I didn’t see a single salad during our tour. That’s because each salad is prepared fresh. Those of us who’ve had Chick-fil-A salads before will immediately notice the absence of iceberg lettuce and croutons. Yep. Nada. No more. Chick-fil-A Fresh Made salads contain a tasty spring mix of radicchio, red cabbage and dandelion greens. Croutons? Crispier options now include delicious garlic ginger wonton strips, spicy red pepper crisps, spicy Thai mixed nuts or delicious honey granola.

Chick-fil-A Fresh Made salads have a heaping helping of fresh fruits, veggies, and You can still drizzle their signature Raspberry Vinaigrette over your salad, but why when there are three new dressings. Yes, all your favorite dressings are still available but trust me you don’t wanna miss out on the new Guacamole Ranch, Honey Sesame or Apple Cider dressings. Although each dressing had their own distinct flavor, the Honey Sesame dressing proved to be a winner among the divas. The honey sesame dressing reminded me of the miso dressing from one of my favorite Japanese restaurants in the San Francisco Bay Area. The honey sesame dressing was the perfect blend of savory and sweet. Oh, if only Chick-fil-A sold these dressings by the bottle. Each salad arrives in a trendy container and the portions are huge. Seriously, two persons could get their fill off one salad.

They've also added some awesomely delicious toppings. Gone are the boring croutons. Now you can top your salad with delicious Spicy Thai Almonds, Ginger Wonton Strips, Crispy Red Bell Peppers, Harvest nut Granola, and a few more surprises.
Calorie counters take note: For those who are calorie counting, the Fresh Garden salad (pictured below) only has 140 calories. Chock full of freshly chopped greens, strawberries and plump blueberries, the Fresh Garden salad is in a word…FRESH. We topped ours with grilled chicken but you can opt to have your Fresh Garden Salad with or without chicken.
The Cobb Salad is a winner with crispy bacon, finely diced eggs and bleu cheese. The Oriental salad with its juicy Mandarin oranges is perfectly complimented with the saltiness of the Honey Sesame dressing.
Each salad features superb quality field greens, BUT you can ask to have your salad with Romaine lettuce if you like. Or if you prefer to have your salad sans cheese, Chick-fil-A will do it...just for you.
Gluten free? Well, no worries, the Market Salad is perfect for those who prefer gluten free and it can be topped with Chick-fil-A's delicious gluten free grilled chicken nuggets. Options!!! Choices galore!!!
Priced in the $6 range, some may say the salads are priced a bit steep but trust me Chick-fil-A Fresh Made salads can hold their own against much pricier chain restaurants without the inconvenience of finding a parking spot or having to wait 30 minutes or more for a table. Their salads are also comparably priced to those convenient, "fast food" restaurants. However, Chick-fil-A Fresh Made Salads were fresher and much tastier.
Plus there’s that one thing about a Chick-fil-A that sets it apart from any other restaurant – community. Chick-fil-A s are active in their respective communities. Our local owner, Dale, frequently donates time, money and food to local charities. Whether it’s partnering with a local elementary school to buy books for kids, helping raise funds to help needy families in Kenya or donating food to participants of the local Cystic Fibrosis walk, Chick-fil-A owners like Dale Stock are the difference.
Sitting down with Dale was like having dinner with a dear friend. We laughed as we shared stories about our kids and his kids and grandkids. Surrounded by families sitting down for dinner, high school kids grouping tables together so they could sit together, dads and moms-to-be on date night.
Soon we were joined by his beautiful wife, Linda, who we’d seen only a hour or so earlier in the kitchen preparing sandwiches for a huge catering order. What an awesome couple. Dale shared stories of his beginnings with the company and when he spoke of Mr. Cathy, the founder and CEO of Chick-fil-A, there was a sense of pride. Clearly, Dale was proud to be a part of this organization and it showed. He believes in this company and is committed to excellence.
The divas and I watched as regulars coming and going, paused to greet Dale with hugs and high fives. There’s something special going on a Chick-fil-A which extends far beyond a meal which is why every Chick-fil-A welcomes you to go beyond the counter. I learned so much from Mr. and Mrs. Stock and am honored to have met them. They are truly an asset to our community and are making a difference that goes way beyond the doors of their Chick-fil-A restaurant. Chick-fil-A is committed to using fresh ingredients and making sure each guest feels welcome. So the next time, you're near a Chick-fil-A restaurant, forego the drive thru and go inside. Ask for a tour and check out your local Chick-fil-A, you're in for a delicious surprise.

I received a behind the scenes look at how Chick-fil-A prepares their new salads and wraps and dinner for me and my guests in exchange for this post.
