Our Thoughts:  Adorable read.  Beautifully illustrated.  The story is well written as a simple reminder of the wonders of this great, big world of ours.  Too often we forget how wondrous the world is.  Yet, it is through the eyes of a child we are able to once again appreciate the simple things.  I loved the oceanic colors of the painted sky throughout the book.  However, my eyes didn't notice the wood texture until my child pointed it out.  The wood is sheer excellence.  The manner in which the illustrator uses wood as the canvas for this epic tale.  Classic.
