I've learned alot about shelf safe milk since this campaign.  For example, did you know that shelf safe milk is a common beverage in other parts of the world including Europe and South America?  The technology behind shelf safe products isn't new.  In fact, if you've ever used those cardboard containers of chicken broth or drank soy or almond milk then the product was probably in a shelf safe container.  Shelf safe milk retains quality for up to six (6) months.  You only need to refrigerate after you've opened the container and then you can store in the fridge for 7-10 days.
